In the late 90’s and early 2000’s I was all about EAs F1 game titles. Bouncing between them and rFactor or GTR by Simbin when I wasn’t “flying” the Janes Defense flight sims.
I came back to it briefly in 2009/10 when Codemasters released their new (at the time) F1 titles but have since not returned.
Recently a few friends and I have been talking about getting into it and we went to the Sim Racing Expo in Charlotte this past weekend. So, it looks like I’m going to get back into it. Not going full retard with motion and belt tensioners, but looking to put together a decent static setup.
Does any one else here dabble? If so, what do you guys run?
I have a couple friends who have static setups. Nothing really fancy. That hobby would turn into an absolute money suck if I got into it. I know my shortcomings! LOL!
Hmmm. Lots in common. I have a multi engine commercial instrument license that I don’t use along with a Bachelor in Aeronautical Science with an ATC Certificate. I went from street classic and drags to 4x4’s and getting into the overland scene, talk about frying pan into the fire.
