Looks kind of rough… has it been clear adonized at all?
A clear adonized lower with a clear upper looks amazing. Cncguns has a couple of pics of them.
BigJoe,
I noticed that you have jdmachine as well as Centurion Arms url address- are they affiliated with each other? I saw that JD has an Navy SEAL armorer on staff and was wondering if it was Monty from Centurion Arms?
that lower is unfinished, it hasn’t been blasted or coated.
i kinda moonlight for both companies helping out with online sales, testing, marketing. i’m active duty military with monty. JD and CA are affiliated a bit, the on staff ex SEAL armorer is not monty, his name is Rob Brown he’s JD"s gunsmith.
That’s awsome, especially since your active duty. Hopefully, I will be in next summer’s BUD/S class. I just received my challenge contract the other day. I became aware of JD from Kyle Defoor’s blog and wanted to find out more since he used them in his build. I really look up to the guys who have been there and done that and since Kyle said there GTG they must be.![]()
they are two of the most overlooked makers out there. i think JD and centruion are. they don’t market as much as BCM, noveske, etc which i’m trying to fix. they both make AWESOME stuff.
and i’ll be seeing you next year it sounds like
though i’ll be wearing a blue shirt ![]()
HisDis-Jesse at JD machine is a good friend of mine. The armorer that is there was not a SEAL operator he was a support guy who worked in the armory at one of the SEAL teams for years and gained his experience working on small arms there.
Me and Jesse both owned our companies prior to knowing each other we are separate but we will be working on projects together and I have him make some of my product. He is a GREAT machinist and has a great shop I go to him for help and advice there and he will come to me for technical firearms information and advice.
Joe is affiliated with both of us and helps us out when he can. I know Joe from both my day job and in the gun industry.
Thanks
Monty
HisDis- pretty funny I went to BUD/s and sniper with Kyle now he is a big time trainer with Tiger Swan the world becomes smaller and smaller as I get older.
