SILENCERS....Who makes the best and quietest for AR-M4's

SILENCERS…Who makes the best and quietest for AR-M4’s???..looking for the quietest and best for my 2 M4’s. I would like to use the “can” on both. I am looking for either thread on or quick detach options so I need input. Does anyone make one tho “quick detach” on a standard A2 flashhidder? Please let me know your input…thanks…any pictures ??? Looking to spend around $700-$800 (or less…possibly alittle higher) + tax stamp. I have a AAC for my 2 bolt guns and I love it but wondering what is out there for AR’s.

I wouldn’t limit yourself in picking a can by your current flash hider. If you still want to, I’d look at the SRT Arms, Atlas Universal Typhoon.

I like the attachment for my YHM suppressor.

For a standard flashhider, the HALO is a good system and in your price range.

Ah… the “best” and the “quietest”…

Highly subjective, lots of good stuff out there. Remember you will pay a premium price for the “best” and “quietest”…

I am interested to see what Silencerco comes out with for the 556/AR market.

They are working on them (my neighbor three houses down helps them in that dept) but do not have any announced yet. Their pistol silencers took the silencer shoot by storm I understand it.

Innovative arms does custom work and maybe able to help. They were on an episode of “shooting gallery” on the outdoor channel last year.
I’ve had some gunsmith work done with good results.

The HALO is probably your best bet if you want to mount to a conventional A2 flash hider. It’s not the quietest, but it sounds pretty good.

At $700-$800 I would recommend an M4-1000, to be honest. Or maybe even the YHM SS Phantom. I like the specific mounts much better than the A2 mount. That’s personal preference though.

Many guys get wrapped around the axel about decibel rating, but don’t consider things like how much the suppressor weighs, how much extra length it will add to the barrel, how much point of impact shift, how rugged the mounting system is, etc.

You may want to write a list of what features are most important to you and do research and find the suppressor that has the most features that are important to you.

This article outlines what was important to me when I was shopping for a new suppressor:
