?? silencerco VP9 threaded barrel

Anyone used the SilencerCo VP9 threaded barrel? Any reason not to buy it?

HKParts wants $220 for what I suppose is the official HK barrel.

The SilencerCo is ~$175 depending on where you look. Anyway quite a difference.

Are the S-Co barrels just as accurate? Do they require fitting?

comments… recommendations… observations welcome.

I have one in my VP9 and it is a drop in. No issues. POI is virtually the same although I have not yet shot it suppressed and I don’t have more than 300 rounds through it. Hope it helps.

The factory barrel is 189.99 @ MSRP. I have found it listed as low as 148.99(OUT OF STOCK) or at MSRP (IN STOCK) online. It is not like most HK parts and is actually stocked by normal distributors so any gun shop should be able to get it for you. The Hk part number is 245602.

No reason not to get the Factory barrel. It will be much nicer than the SilencerCo barrel.

15 rounds, 10 yards, silencerco barrel (from brownells), supressed (octane).

That works for me!!!

Thanks guys… glad to know it’s drop in too.

I’ve got one. It is a high quality barrel. As said above it was a drop in. I fired it with my SiCo Osprey .45 can and had zero issues.

Thanks, it’s in the mail.

Any updates on the SiCo barrel? Accuracy reports? The SiCo barrels are on sale for $145 vs the HK for $188. Trying to decide if the HK is worth the $40 extra…
