I want to start changing out some sights, and am looking for a sight tool. Search function is not working at all tonight (not uncommon). Mostly this would be for Glocks, with a some M&P use.
Suggestions?

John - unfortunately, you’ll most likely need one for each “family” of pistols you want to be able to adjust. For instance, I have MGW pushers for Glocks and Sigs.
In the bad old days, there was a similar set up with interchangeable “plates” that allowed you to use it on a variety of makes, but I found that mine would strip screws in a hurry, usually leaving you with a tight sight halfway drifted in or out…
If you’re patient and have a reasonable touch, you can accomplish most sight drifting tasks with a nylon punch and a LIGHT hammer to tap.
Regards,
Kevin
I’m no expert on this but I purchased the Uni-200L sight pusher
earlier this year and its worked well for me so far. I bought it
at Glockstore.com. I have all glocks , but the site says it does Sigs,
1911’s , Berettas and XD’s. There is a demo video on the site.
Hope that helps.
I can’t speak for all types of “universal” pushers, but some of them are pretty awful. Maryland Gun Works (MGW) makes some very nice dedicated pushers, but they’re a big investment unless you’ve got a whole pile of pistols to work on.
If you’re skilled and careful, it’s generally possible to drift sights with nothing more than a padded vise and hand-crafted punches. Takes time and effort, so for the professional you’re probably better off with dedicated pushers for the brands you deal with.
The MGW sight tool for the M&P is quite nice, and it works for Glocks too.
I have a Uni-200 also and have used it on my M&Ps, 1911s, P7, P99 and a Ruger P85 without issues. Thing works like a charm.
