I have zero interest in a new SIG since the shit stain of the P320.
My question is, are they going to drop the P320 like they did the P230, 555 rifle and the P239 and screw over existing customers by offering ZERO support for there products.
I’d say they’re stuck supporting it for the time being due to contracts, but it wouldn’t surprise be if they tapered off support and pushed people to the P385. To be fair, I know plenty of people who shoot the P320/M17 very well as issued equipment. We’ve discussed the improvements the M17 needed and the P385 is exactly what we’ve said the “M17A1" should be. Being moved to a P385 wouldn’t be a bad thing as equipment goes, and I wish the M17s in inventory could be exchanged for P385s as M17A1 variants.
The 320 is still in production. They say they have no plans to discontinue the 320/M17. As mentioned, their .mil and other contract would require support and replenishment so even if they wanted to drop it they are stuck making 320/17s and parts for a while.
