I am selling a Sig Sauer P228. I purchased the gun from a friend used for $400. I was told it was a Fed LE trade-in and it comes in the blue LE marked box. The owner’s manual that is in the box has “pre-owned” stamped on it. I have put less than 100 rounds through the gun and had no issues with it. I’m no expert on deciphering where a Sig was made, etc. but on the left side of the gun is marked “Sig Sauer” and “SIGARMS, Inc. Exeter - NH” and on the right side is “P228 Made in Germany.” Also, I have only been able to find one (1) serial number on the gun (on the right side of the frame) as opposed to the matching three that I’ve read about. The gun also has a pair of Hogue G-10 scale checkered grips on it ($95) and a pair of Ameri-glo Hack sights installed that were bought and installed in January of this year ($79 + installation). (I do have the original Sig grips as well.) Also included is two (2) ten-round Sig mags, one (1) thirteen round Sig mag, one (1) eighteen round Mec-Gar mag (for 226), and six (6) new Mec-Gar fifteen round flush fitting mags ($22/ea). I also have a Per-Sec Systems pancake holster and matching mag carrier for the gun ($100), both in coyote tan with coyote eyelets and bronze screws. I can also include the original NS that came in the box when I got the gun (long since dead) and the TFOs that were on it when I got it (very dim). The gun does have holster wear an general wear from use, but is still in very good shape and is very clean.
I’d like to sell everything as a set, but can possibly drop some things if you don’t need everything here. I’m asking $600 shipped from my FFL to yours, but I can negotiate the price. I’m not looking to get what I put into the gun, but am looking to free up some money for a new carbine build or I will also accept trades for a Gen4 G19, or possibly a VP9. Payment via USPO money order please. I can e-mail any pictures you need, just shoot me a PM.
Also, I can drop the price by $50 if you’re in the Charlotte, Gastonia, Lincolnton, area of NC and can do a FTF with a CHP or purchase permit.
Thanks,
Ryan
