Last summer I jumped in on the first batch of 16" ARP 277WLV barrels and dies. Prior to this, I was only running 6.8s. I built up my rifle and went to town with my first “wildcat.” Looking at the velocities that I, and other users were getting, I quickly saw that ballistics were dang close to factory loadings of my 6.8s. They were in deed close enough that I decided to sell off all of my 6.8 stuff and turn those builds into WLVs.
I changed out my 8.2" 6.8 pistol for a 10.5" 1:7 twist to play with subsonics since I’ll be getting my can in the next few (or several) months. I’m also expecting my SBR stamp for this build within the next week or so. As they sit now, Here’s my pair of Wolverines:
