Shoulder Rig for Sig228?

Hey all,

I’ll be duty-carrying a Sig 228, and I’m considering a shoulder rig for ease of concealment and mobility. Any suggestions for a good make and system?

Carried my M11 in a Miami Classic with off set 4-mag carrier when dressed down in Iraq. Very comfortable. Although most shoulder rigs are lacking in durability, IMO.

My personal 226 fits in my duty 228 drop leg and CQC holster.
You could try the 226 offerings as well.

Excellent. No problems drawing from the Miami Classic? Did you have a horizontal or vertical holster?

Bianchi makes a vertical carry shoulder rig.

Mine was horizontal. I didn’t have problems drawing as long as I didn’t have a ballistic vest on, then it was a little more awkward. However, one doesn’t wear a shoulder rig for its speed of draw. It is for carry convenience and specific concealment flexibility only, IMO.

I’ve been looking into a shoulder rig for the 228 as well, anyone have any experience with the Kramer rig?

Galco has quite a few options for shoulder carry. I see shoulder holsters pop up on Ebay from time to time. The Miami Classic and Jackass seem to be quite popular and versatile.
