Should we just pull out of NATO?

There looks like 9,400 are being pulled out of Germany, Poland has offered to host them, but it looks like they are coming home.

It’s not as much as a cut as to returning to pre Ukraine War numbers, but oh how the little piggys come running when the big Hog Squeals.

The NATO Chief sets them straight.

And suddenly Norway decides Russia is Dangerous to the US and we need to get right on protecting NATO from Russia.

By the Way??? Didn’t there used to be a Warsaw Pact? Do they still have a Warsaw Pact?

And most of the Warsaw Pact countries are trying to join the EU and NATO.

Russians have trouble understanding that when you try to exterminate your neighbors - hello? Holodomor? - they tend to not exactly like you very much. This whole thing with Eastern Ukraine… well, as a historian I’m remembering the Sudetenland and the various Anschlusses of the 1930s. Just that this time there were brutalities from both sides.

Trump is repeatedly pounding hard on this.

Well when you look at that chart, it’s no wonder Trump wants Greenland, we’ve paid for it how many times?

We just need to avoid the morass of European Civil affairs and let them bask in the sewage they’ve created.

Trump is deporting illegals, particularly undesirables, but it’s an ongoing struggle with lunatic democrats. In an effort to fight deportation of an illegal convicted of child sex crimes, Tampon Tim pardoned him. Unbelievable. This isn’t just some old story… it’s occurring now.

July 1 2026

WASHINGTON – The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released the following statement condemning Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and his fellow sanctuary politicians after they granted a pardon for an illegal alien who had been convicted of repeatedly sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl.

On June 10, 2026, the Minnesota Clemency Review Commission voted to grant a pardon for Tou Lue Vang, a criminal illegal alien from Laos. Vang had been convicted in 2006 of first-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Vang was set to be removed from the country imminently after the pardon was announced. Now, the pardon could thwart his removal from the United States.

According to court filings, Vang repeatedly sexually assaulted a girl between 2002 and 2004. On one occasion, he tried to offer his victim $10 to keep quiet about the sexual assaults. While being interviewed by police, he tried to justify his actions by saying that for him ā€œit is a cultural thing…to marry and have sex with girls as young as 12.ā€ He also claimed that the victim was just as guilty as him and should also be arrested.

Following his conviction, a Department of Justice (DOJ) Immigration Judge issued Vang a final order of removal on October 31, 2006. (Yet the POS is still here!)

I actually am very happy with Trump’s actions on Illeagle Immigration.

What I find totally disgusting is that as we try and keep NATO afloat these ungrateful bastards have the gall to complain about their Air Space being Violated.in a War.

He’s been telling them to get onboard with financing NATO for a Decade and they are still F’ing it off.

Its past time to take action.

Russia seems determined to bang their heads on the anvil of Ukraine in a suicidal frenzy to Die so much of this may sort itself out.

If they over commit again and suffer dramatic casualties, I don’t see how Putin survives the years end.

That isn’t a new idea at all.

ā€œThe great rule of conduct for us in regard to foreign nations is in extending our commercial relations, to have with them as little political connection as possible. So far as we have already formed engagements, let them be fulfilled with perfect good faith. Here let us stop. Europe has a set of primary interests which to us have none; or a very remote relation. Hence she must be engaged in frequent controversies, the causes of which are essentially foreign to our concernsā€¦ā€

It is an extremely unpopular idea though.

NATO is stronger because Trump demanded more
Published July 7, 2026 6:00am ET

Here’s a number the beltway class swore they’d never see: $1.2 trillion. That’s the new defense spending Europe and Canada have added since President Donald Trump first took office in 2017. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has rightly called it the ā€œTrump Trillion.ā€

When NATO leaders gather for this year’s summit in Ankara, Turkey, next week, they should remember one simple fact: this alliance is stronger today because Trump demanded that our allies do more.

Interesting article (including audio version) in Washington Examiner: NATO is stronger because Trump demanded more

Trump’s demands are correct, NATO isn’t paying the Lions share of their Own Defence. Not only that, but they have denied us the right to ā€œFly Over.ā€ their Airspace.

So we have an Injury by not paying and an Insult by denying us Airspace. In my calculations, that means they no longer want a give and take relationship when it comes to Defence.

I’m not sure why we haven’t left already.

I’m not sure Trump actually wants to exit NATO, but I’m pretty sure Trump wants Europe to think so.

But at what actual point have we reached zero return on our investment?

I don’t believe that’s a calculation. I believe what Trump wants is stronger NATO member nations less reliant on America. Trump telling NATO members they’re useless leaches seems to have moved them in the right direction more than any president in my lifetime.

Trump just said our Relationship with Turkey is better than our Relationship with NATO.

Great Britain can’t even keep Russians out of the Channel, from Britantia Rules the Ocean to we can’t even keep the Russians out of our Bath Tubs.

Important to remember that Turkey is playing both sides, buying missile systems from Russia and trying to buy F-35s from the US. They aren’t an ally to the extent that we want them to be.

Something that I think should have been done in 1991. When the USA did the drawdown in Europe mainly West Germany. It should have kept going. I’m jaded on it as of being stationed in 3 different locations in Germany (2 places) when it was W. Germany and lastly Germany. In many places soldiers were treated like criminals first including (new BN Command and his CSM) Well earned reputation by small percentage but not most. Spending over 11 months in the field a year from Graf 2 months, CMTC 4 months, Baumholder, Widflicken, and any other place he could send the BN. Vilseck was the last duty station in Germany 4 years later.

With over 7 years of my life spent in Europe the main thing I saw was a continuous drainage of US tax payer / service members for no return. Refurbishing of one unit Barracks that costed over 100 million in 1980’s /90’s dollars. That project started in 1989 ended 1991 it would have been faster and cheaper to teardown and rebuild but it was considered a historical site, then turned over to German government the US had to pay to refurbish it again then it was torn down.

Then the cost from many service members is incalculable in health and lives beside money. My first tour location assignment was s### in part by higher command along with the local community on many other aspects. On Vilseck it had been tempered from some points by multiple other community loss of massive US dollars. I definitely noticed that by traveling in and though several places the USA had left. Many wanted the Army back. Now I did have several good times and several German friends there. But overall more bad than good over the years spent there AKA first 3 years

(Note to all, my giving a F### about pissing anyone off is really low right now) The person who I could talk with anytime died yesterday.

Condolences…

That’s when I left, by that time it had become obvious that the Warsaw Pact Nations were looking for Help and it wasn’t coming from the Warsaw Pact.

I felt like the Germans didn’t give a crap one way or another about who ran the show and they proved me right with Angela Merkle.. I PCS’ed right right as the wall came down and I no longer gave a damn what happened to them.

They are a Beaten People, they don’t care who runs the show anymore as long as they don’t have to march to France Again.
