You watch the vid, he literally felt it graze his head. Boy was he lucky there.
Not sure of the caliber but an another inch or two to the right and it would be a different new story. And SS let him keep sticking his head up even when not moving…Not an expert but BIG security failure.
Not being POTUS he gets a much reduced SS team also. I don’t know how they assign based on threat potential, but we know he does get the full SS protection nor I assume the A team for it. I’d imagine his security is going to be increased, whether SS or private.
Was it a security failure out on purpose?

A friend of mine served in the military and knows his head of security (when he was POTUS). I would guess he’d still have his own with him. Regardless, I bet a few people get fired over this.

It sounded like a Suppressed 22 but it’s hard to tell from just the sound from a microphone on the recording camera/Phone that I saw. As I am sure some of you are well aware, loud sounds get compressed on the microphone when recording and you can’t accurately judge how loud something is.
He was very lucky and I wish a quick recovery.

I heard one witness say they understood the shot came from the water tower. I see a water tower on Google Earth but can’t figure where the stage/bleachers would be. I would have thought someone would have had eyes on water tower if not up on it. The guy that helped carry the man killed down the bleachers said he died instantly and was immediately beyond the need for assistance. He is a doctor. Said he immediately recognized sound as gunfire and he thought he heard 7 shots. He said the man and woman were basically in line of fire. Shots coming from behind him. He said he was to Trump’s left but I think he means he was to his left if one were facing Trump. So Trumps right. News is now reporting several times. Shooter was outside SS perimeter and from an elevated position.
Trump just posted he heard a whizzing sound, shots, then felt the bullet rip his ear. Good thing he turned his head when he did.
I am disgusted by the almost instantaneous calls for a kumbaya, “There is no place for political violence in this country”. Oh, got it…once YOU fvcking POS try it then all of a sudden it’s hands-off, step back, take a deep breath. Fvck ALL Democrats.
