Have you been able to see what kind of groups you are getting? I know some people don’t care during break in, just thought I’d ask.

It’s definitely cool for the crowd that bought uppers to run the 50 Beowulf, other than that niche circle I don’t see the point. Personal opinion obviously, and no negativity towards you. Nice video though.

No problem “Vepr Beowulf”. I was saying an AR chambered in .338 is more akin to the 50 Beowulf than I viewed it as similar to the AR10 platform. YMMV clearly. I watched your video, and it was not my intention to drag negativity into your thread.
Next step: .338 Lapua SBR.
I was considering doing a .308 SBR a while back, but was talked out of it, and don’t really regret it, as the downsides of the size, cost, and weight of the rifle and ammo didn’t appeal to me as much as that of the .300 BLK. (Yes, I know .300 BLK ammo isn’t as available and requires reloading if you intend to shoot a lot).
I still think an SBR in a full size cartridge is cool as hell, but I don’t see myself doing one.
OP, I was expecting the velocities to be lower, to be honest. Cool build!
300blk is a great cartridge especially suppressed with subsonic loads…The .308 is the same type of bullet as the 300blk but with more horsepower…I was considering building either a 308 or a 358win in an sbr at first but the 338 fed had more potential in velocity over both of them using an 8" barrel thus one of the biggest reasons why i went that route…So far i have no regrets…I believe i found a good powerful compact rifle that will be able to handle most of north americas largest game at a close range…If you ever decide to go that route i would recommend looking into the wide variaty of reloadable bullets that are available for the .338 caliber…there is alot to choose from…Thanx again for commenting and im glad you liked the video…

Your build thread didn’t give many details. Can you give us a rundown on the parts you selected? What BCG, trigger, optic, rail system…
