Two police officers have been shot at a freedom of speech event at a cafe in the Danish capital Copenhagen.
At least one gunman fired “about 30 shots” at the Art, Blasphemy and Freedom of Expression event, which was attended by a famous cartoonist who drew the Prophet Muhammad as a dog.
Swedish cartoonist and historian Lars Vilks was not wounded in the attack, which took place shortly after 3.30pm.
Satire researcher Dennis Meyhoff Brink was present at the event.
He said: "Just after 3:30 pm - the French ambassador had just spoken - we heard shots from the hall .
“Some runs (sic) out, but I dare not, for there are also shots outside.”
He added about 30 shots were fired.
The French ambassador to Denmark, François Zimeray, wrote on Twitter: “Still alive in the room.”
There must be a mistake with the news report. There is no way that there could be a shooting in Denmark as civilian gun ownership is already banned.:jester:
Socialists will never go to war with Islam. Socialism is about absolute equality. That means there can be no good and evil. Declaring something “good” means that it’s better than something “evil”. If something is better than something else, that means they are unequal. That’s why every time somebody bashes Islamic extremism, the first response is that this is no different than what the Crusaders did in the Middle Ages. Islamic extremists aren’t bad, they are absolutely no different than us, so we need need to shut the **** up and take it, because we have this coming.
Plus, socialists are cowards. They can’t stand a world where there are actual bad people who want to hurt you even if you mean them no harm. They want to believe in karma, and hold to their belief that all it takes for world peace is for someone to just say that, no matter what, they won’t ever use violence, and eventually all will follow. They can’t stand the idea that sometimes you need to actually fight to keep everything you hold dear.
If you had told me as a kid that one day people would not only kill other people over cartoons but that millions of people would actually support those killings I would take it as evidence that you were insane.

I find it rather amusing that we went into A’stan (justly so) and wasted several years and American lives for nothing, we go into Iraq which has eventually led to complete chaos in the region and now when there is a reason to do something we have a guy that can’t make a decision to save his life.
Maybe because deep down, he really identifies with these Islamic Terrorists, just not some of their tactics? Perhaps if Barack Sr. were alive, he would be the type to join Boko Haram. Remember, he was an anti-colonial Marxist.
The Scandinavians share the same image of Islam as does our president.
The Scandinavian countries are also a shining example of what happens when you open up and allow all sorts of immigrants in large numbers to come into your country - legally or illegally.
