I know a lot of people keep track of every round fired through their firearms. Opinions on this? And for those who do, anyone have a good spreadsheet they use?

I have a sort of log book. It is a small notebook I keep in my range bag. I am not ultra-scientific or super detailed, but here is what I keep track of:
-Date
-Firearms used
-How many rounds shot per firearm (sometimes an estimate based on boxes, magazines used, or empty stripper clips)
-Brand/caliber/type of ammunition used
-Issues worth noting during the session (firearms issues, magazine issues, weather issues, staple gun issues, etc)
-Brief summary of the event

I use MS Excel. Mine is very similar to hikeeba’s method. I try to keep it simple, mainly to keep track of round count and issues.
I also have a sheet on the same file indicating all parts used as well as any gunsmithing services acquired and their respective costs.
