Well I have been looking for a chest rig but none without costing a “squillion” bucks fit what I wanted, so I designed my own and had it built by someone who has been doing it for quite awhile and has built gear for some high speed guys overseas and for some customers of mine.
It is made from Crye Precision Multicam 1000 Denier Cordura but I did have other colors made for a few customers that saw mine and wanted one.
All the hardware is ITW Ghullie-Tex.
The design is similar to the elusive SKD rig with some changes.
Velcro was added to the pistol flap fronts.
Removable bungie shock cords were added instead of the elastic retention.
2 D-rings were added to each shoulder strap.
The Molle on both sides of the rig were increased to 3 wide to be able to add more of a variety of pouches if needed.

Some upgrades to the Chest Rig over the prototype that I thought would be nice additions.
On the new rigs the pouches will be enlarged to accept 3 AR mags each as well as 2 AK mags. Besides the top bungie cords there is removable bungies that are adjustable built into the sides of the pouches so you can adjust them up or down in size. You can also remove the top bungies and and have the mags stay secure if you tighten the side bungies. [/b]
Im also going to slightly enlarge the pistol pouches so that besides holding a fullsize double stack mag for those who like to also carry a 1911 can load 2 mags per pistol pouch.
Added from a reponse below:
The shock cord is adjustable with a plunger type “thing” for a wide variety of mags.
The elastic was removed and replaced with bungies.
It is also able to be semi customized. If someone wants to have individual pistol flaps like you did that is no problem.
The bungies are removable and straps like a thumb break can still be used.
The bungies attach to loops designed for them and are not sewn in and are much stronger than having them sewed in.
The extra row of molle is nice as it allows a larger array of pouches to be able to be attached.
Basically I took what I liked and didnt like from a existing rig and customized it to what I wanted and would have wanted when I played Rambo for 18years.
There is a mesh pouch inside on the backside of the rig.
There is also a large internal pouch that is sealed by velcro the runs the length of the rig.
I tried to post pics but im PC illiterate and had issues when I tried.
Im selling them for $110.00 but the neat thing is that if they are preordered they can be customized somewhat as each one is handmade and not from an assembly line. Its funny I made these for me and guess if others want them they turned out OK:p
I am confused, the only difference I see in this and the SKD version is in the double d rings and soft side velcro on the pistol mag pouches and the shock cord. What other mods are you offering? I picked up the SKD universal Eagle rig and made almost the same mods as you, except I split my lids to accomodate a flashlight and a multi tool. I just used the stuff I had laying arround the house and my sewing machine…
How did you attach the shock cord in the back to hold mags? I had to stich through the material (using the button feature to get multiple contact points)
Also, what advantages to you gain with the double D rings?
Yours looks cleaner than mine.
Thanks
Pre mod

Thanks for clearing up my questions in your first post. Sorry for lack of clarity long day at work.
Do you find that adding the whole 2 coloms of webbing wraps it further arround the back? Can you get a pick of the back side of the shock cord attachment point?
I will see about what I can do with more pics, the ones that are posted were taken buy the rig maker.
Nope no problem with the extra row of webbing it is quite useful and confortable.
You asked about the D-rings earlier. These are something that is very useful in the field when needing to attach something quickly. These were on the old LBE suspenders and the D-ring was a must have.
