Shellback Aggressor

Has anyone used this? Thoughts?

It seems like a good price and a viable option for an outer carrier when you only have concealment panels and not BALCS.

I like that it has buckles on the sides. The PPE carrier I have is all Velcro on the sides and comes undone once in awhile.

I concur with Centcom, mine was similar and used velcro until I had a genius with a needle and thread replace the straps with buckled straps. Then I gave it to my little brother when I hit the gym and grew more.

I have no personal experience with that carrier, but I used one similar to that in the past with the buckles on the side. The problem I had with the carrier was pulling the buckles tight. With the buckles on the side like that, it would seem to me that you would be reaching behind you to pull the vest tighter (which is what I was doing with the old carrier I had).

I might be off on that, just thinking of potential issues. Other than that, it looks very well made.

When mine was modified that was similar I had the the “ears” to tighten face forward, then tucked in a little loop on the front of the vest. It was much easier to wear and adjust that way. Might be a thought OP if you go this route to see about modding it to suit your needs.

Why cant someone make an outer carrier that combines both BDU style pockets and PALS? I personally cannot wear something like that on duty. With pockets, I could.
