Sheen hits a new low in my book. His erratic (some might say borderline psychotic…) behavior was not caused by the cocaine, the booze, and all the other drugs according to Sheen, but the testosterone cream he was using!
"He tells TV host Katie Couric, “I think I was doing too much testosterone cream, and I think it metabolized into … a steroid. I think it was a bit of a roid rage. That’s the only thing I can point to to explain (it). There was no booze, no pain pills, seriously there was nothing, there was no street drugs.”
“Sheen has vehemently denied allegations alcohol and drugs were the root of his problems as he attempted to recover from the loss of his show, and now he confesses he believes a topical solution he used to boost his energy levels and libido was the cause.”
I remember reading one very amusing thread on a bodybuilding forum about T-levels and what works and what doesn’t. As the thread progressed over several days (by post date), you could see the 'roid rage welling up in people as they went at each other’s throats and a couple of them got banned by the time the thread closed.
Was his testosterone medication called ecgonine hydrochloride? In that case, I could buy that it led to the whole tiger blood debacle.
Cocaine is a powerful seratonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, and if he was doing quarter-ounce “rocks” at a time, well, not surprising how that all turned out.
