While I continue to buy problem pistols (springfields), my son keeps making good picks.
These shadow systems guns are impressive. A little pricey compared to a Glock (which they effectively are), but they don’t come with all the crap you have to fix on a glock. (Sights, Trigger, MOS plate system, etc)
This gun has been perfect out of the box, but when I put the SRO on for my son, I was even more impressed. They have the direct slide mount perfected!
The Shadow included spacer (behind the sight) and screws all worked perfectly.
I have been shooting mine for several years. The only problem I had was with some worn out Magpul mags. I would stick with the G mags for social purposes.
I see these pistols as a great improvement of Glocks:
Excellent sights
Grip angle is adjustable
Optic mounting is much better than MOS. No plate or tall sights needed
Do it… great ergos and Glock Gen 3 internals. There are a some differences such as white dot front sight vs night sight. I think the trigger is polymer vs metal plus the slide cuts and a different recoil spring. The spiral barrel.vs smooth nitride one
I have been told that Shadow Systems went through a period of not the best quality control .
First I would like to verify if anyone else has heard the same.
If they did in fact have a bad run, have they corrected the problem?
Yep. And revisiting the pistol we have… the trigger is much better than the 6-7 lb triggers on the last two glocks I bought.
The shadow systems just seemed bad because my buddies shoot candy ass competition guns with trigger work done. When we/I went back to the real world and shot the Shadow system’s trigger, the regular striker trigger was tough to shoot.
