Seymore Hersh claims Bin Laden raid was faked

Interesting, go figure they went and FUBAR’d the place they’d at least take all the bodies. Too many movies maybe?

Pretty much. Nobody is debating that OBL is dead or not. Nobody is debating whether the SEALs did the raid. Pretty much the only thing in doubt is if we did it with or without the approval of Pakistani intelligence and if they provided us with information about his location.

And quite honestly the SEALs probably didn’t know one way or the other because they really didn’t need to know. Would kind of suck if the story is true, I really liked Zero Dark Thirty.

We also need to consider that this may be nothing more than the Obama administration, or the CIA or both, protecting an intelligence source with a credible cover story and this Hersch retard is screwing the pooch. I’m not a huge Obama fan, but if Pakistani intelligence DID give us info regarding where to find OBL, that would be very valuable information and the “official narrative” would be pretty much what was needed to not sell them out for their help. Pakistan could continue their posture as “hostile to the US” and continue to gather and share information as it suits their needs.

If that is in fact what happened.

Honestly, I’m not sure there was room in the remaining helicopter or time to screw around with loading those bodies. I’m also pretty sure the intelligence value of those other bodies was almost nothing. And I’m not trying to be funny, but it would be disrespectful to take the other bodies unless they too were known and wanted terrorists and I don’t really think they qualify. I don’t recall if the courier actually engaged in any acts of terrorism, I think we wanted him simply in relationship to OBL.

Why? Very little value in the body once you get a photo, fingerprints and DNA sampke. What value does it have? Literally just dead weight. Not like we were planning to put their heads on a spike out in the WH entrance.

Damn. Hindsight is always 20/20…

At least it might have deterred all those fence jumpers…

Thats a different topic.

Agreed. Bodies are useless dead weight. I honestly believe we’ll never know if it really was OBL in that bag. Only the goons in the WH know…

This is a lot like the “9-11 was a hoax” thing. If there was even a shred of truth to it, it would be the greatest news story since Watergate. Either story would destroy a Presidential legacy and the related political party for decades. There isn’t a MSM reporter who wouldn’t shove his own mother off a roof for the chance to break such a story and as much as I don’t particularly hold Bush (43) or Obama in high regard, I don’t think either of them is THAT stupid to risk is all on a hoax.

You can lie about blow jobs, missing hard drives, embassy security efforts and things like that without any real consequences. I don’t think you can orchestrate the 9-11 attacks as a “false flag” or falsely claim to kill OBL and get away with it. Either example would be the worst thing any US President did in the history of our nation and there is no way they could get everyone to go along with the cover up.

Seymour Hersh…

…about as “credible” as Alex Jones…no?

Here you go, read this one.

CIA Director Morell

Hirsh: The investigative journalist Seymour Hersh is out with a new article in the London Review of Books that says the U.S. has been lying about the bin Laden mission—that in fact the Pakistanis knew all about it beforehand.

Morell: I read about a third of it, and then I actually put it down, because everything I read was wrong. His source has no idea what he’s talking about. … First of all it’s not true that we paid some Pakistani $25 million to tell us where Osama bin Laden was. It’s absolutely not true. The story of us following the courier to get to bin Laden is the true story. … I sat in the situation room when the president made the decision not to tell the Pakistanis.

Case closed.

I don’t know about closed. The CIA director could easily be lying to protect a source. But I know who I’m most willing to believe.

I suppose the most compelling reason to believe the Obama version is the lack of American sources to corroborate the story. You’d think that at least one American source would provide some supporting evidence given the giant crap that Obama took on our intelligence community.

If the ISI served up bin Laden, why would the US military have needed to use Stealth Hawks? I mean, the MH-47s that carried the fuel for the Stealth Hawks flew into Pakistan and were not - according to stories - some sort of Stealth Chinook. And then the tail rotor section of the “Stealth Hawk” was dumped on the outside of the compound. With the story ensuing developed to protect the Pakistani government from popular backlash that might result from having given America full permission to come into their country and kill someone there (even if that person is a scumbag who needed to die - if Russia flew a team into the US to kill somebody, we’d be pretty upset about it, too).

But that’s all just a theory.

Hersch’s story does seem plausible. Especially with the ISI’s history of supporting the Afghani’s and the Taliban. Another thing that comes to mind is the Pakistani doctor who was assigned to take care of Bin Laden and is now in a Pakistani jail. I would think that he could corroborate Hersch’s claim and is a loose end that is being held in jail for that reason. The Admin hasn’t done a thing to help him out. Just a thought.

The article drives me nuts cause it keeps saying “Seals” instead of “SEALs”

Otherwise, tin foil hat or not, I can see this being true.
