Serious Security

It’s probably only the tip of the iceberg. I’ll bet it’s a shitty job. Had a friend who was on a security team that traveled with a megayacht. He was fired for saying good morning to the wrong person! https://www.foxnews.com/tech/mark-zuckerbergs-conference-room-has-a-secret-panic-chute-report-says

Sorry, I’m there to save your @$$ not kiss your @$$.

I had the chance many years ago to go private when my former SWAT commander formed a contract group. He’s very successful now and some of my former team members make great money, but it’s not worth it for me. I’m glad I did not go that route. You should hear the stories.

So once again a limousine liberal who is surrounded by a private army but wants to deny “the great unwashed” any means of defending themselves.

Percent wise, what he spends is like a box, or maybe one round of ammo for us.

I wonder what kind of threats he receives to feel these are necessary measures?

From all appearances Facebook was founded to generate conflict in order to drive traffic and elicit private information. So he probably figures riling up 1 billion people will eventually catch up to him.

I don’t think this is unusual for the extremely wealthy, except maybe for Warren Buffet.

I had a friend who retired and went to work for Koch industries, he was essentially head of what amounted to their SWAT team.

Yeah, I was pretty friendly with a guy who ran one of the larger personal security agencies in South Florida and while he constantly thought it would be a good idea for me to help him out from time to time, I knew I wanted none of it.

If the bullets aren’t regularly flying, wealthy people need to feel like they are getting their money’s worth and you quickly become a personal assistant / gofer / errand boy. The only thing worse is when the client is a divorce lawyer, drug dealer or somebody else who generally screws people over for a living and then you are basically a scumbag bullet proof vest and even if the bullets are regularly flying you are seen as a disposable nobody.

And generally, the more wealthy somebody is, the least accountable they think they need to be.

I recall being the principle for for an executive protection detail(training), I would not want to live on either side of the thing. Reminds me of MG Griffin, 3AD. He carried his own gun and said f it, if someone wants me dead, they’ll do it. So much for Joulwan, that guy was a royal chump. Griffin used to talk to you and bring food to the post.

What an elitist douchebag (Zuckerberg). He think he’s the Führer?

Daily reminder that these are the same people, living in their own private Alamos, that want open borders for the rest of us.

Exactly my thoughts.

Remember, if only we would all give up our guns… THEN they would feel safe and they could get rid of their security.

You guys are missing the fact that he and his family are kidnap/extortion targets. He is also the majority shareholder in a publicly traded company that has a fiduciary responsibility to protect itself and that means him too.

The fact that Charles Koch has top tier security is palatable due to his political leanings and support of things “Constitutional”.

I’m not missing the fact Zuckerberg is a “majority shareholder in a publicly traded company” at all. I simply don’t care.
The Facebook douche is “part of the problem” and your typical left wing elitist, that apparently feels entitled to pick and choose who is allowed to have what- re. rights under the Constitution.

I’m not missing the fact that some rich prick’s family is no more precious than mine.

I am not trying to take away his means of protecting his family, and he damn sure is trying to take away mine.

And that is my only real problem as well.

some folks can be at risk but I think also many just get paranoid and think they are more important than they really are and truth is nobody cares !!!

In my experience among their kind, most of those who require such extreme security have done some nasty unto someone sufficient to have some retaliation coming–this is why I hung it up after my first Principal no longer needed my services, you can’t pay me enough to take a bullet for somebody I don’t respect.

For clarity, I’m not gonna say I was anything great–I probably sucked even with a couple retired Secret Service agents and a number of local LE mentoring me, but sheer dumb luck, audacity, aggressive response and near-suicidal determination were enough to carry the day and convince that young lady’s stalker to go find someone more receptive to his attentions.
