I was going to try the drill with a VZ-61, 7.65mm, using Fiocchi 73 gr ball. The gun has a folding alluminum brace, cowitnessed K sized RDS, non-vertical foregrip, and trilug adapter. Suppressor left off so timer will record shots.
I knew the gun wasn’t very accurate at 50, but at 25 it’s decent and fast. I’d never tried to shoot for groups at 50 yds.
So i fired supported from 50 yds to see what i was working with. Boy, was it shitty.
A five shot group was about 11 inches! Yep, it’s meant to be a CQB sidearm. I can do that with a Beretta Cheetah .32 at this range!
Then i shot my AP5-P 9mm, stock trigger, for a group, with Fiocchi 147 gr JHP, RDS, and brace. I knew the gun was accurate, and from supported i got a 5 shot group about 5 inches and under a few times. Very good.
When i shot the drill with this, i could get 4 or 5 out of 5 on an 8.5x11 sheet of paper at 50 yds under 5 seconds. Cool.
