I’ve been shooting for most of my life but I’m fairly new to the AR world and am looking for input on the rifle I’m building. I had a CMMG AR and sold it a few years ago and I really want to have something worth keeping around this time. Right now I’ve got a Rock River Lower that I’ve tricked out a bit with a better trigger etc, but I need to finish it out with an upper worth having.
I’ve got about 1500 dollar budget on this project. One upper that really caught my eye was Lewis Machine & Tool’s CQB MRP piston upper, although LMT is pretty scarce on their products details. I thought the quick change barrel feature was interesting.
Do you guys have any experience with LMT’s products or perhaps another recommendation within my budget? I’m looking for specifics on capabilities-- ie: weight, m.o.a. capabilities, barrel profiles etc. I appreciate any help here.
