Selling my SCAR 17

I’ve finally decided I will be selling my SCAR 17 in FDE.:frowning:

I originally purchased the SCAR as a patrol rifle to replace my issued M14. I wanted a shorter, lighter more ergonomic platform. The rifle has been great but we are moving away from 7.62 and moving to 5.56. I would only be able to use the rifle for putting down animals (A $3000 rifle is overkill for this IMO).

I plan on using the sale to purchase a Noveske NSR 12.5" for my SBR (will be my new patrol rifle) and to have MSTN build me an SPR upper i’ve always wanted.

this is what i will be packaging with the rifle:

-2 SCAR FN magazine one FDE and one black.
-Surefire M600 scout light FDE tan in gear sector scout mount (on the 12:00 rail).
-Surefire SCAR 17 flash hider FH762SV-SCAR as well as the SCAR Primary Weapon System brake.
-Magpul SCAR selectors and FN factory selectors.
-Tango Down BG17 pistol grip in FDE and original FN FDE A2 style pistol grip.
-Tango Down vertical fore grip in FDE.
-Several Tango Down SCAR rail panels (4-2”, 1-6”, 2-4”surefire, 1-4”).
-Blue Force Gear Vickers padded FDE sling.
-Blue Force Gear universal weapons loop with QD socket to go from 2 point to single point.
-Gear Sector FDE QD mount with Blue Force Gear Heavy Duty push button swivel.

What do you guys feel a fair price would be? If this thread needs to be deleted I apologize.

thanks.

I would check recent internet sales prices of the base weapon and then add each accessory as per their common sale price.
Really, you would probably be better off by parting it out than trying to sell it as a package. I have seen the package deal work out, but your potential buyer base will be smaller.

Good point. I think $2500 sounds like a good starting point?

I think I will include the:
-2nd magazine
-tango down grips and pannels
-magpul selectors

Will sell the surefire and BFG stuff separate.

“Fair price” threads are usually thinly-veiled For Sale ads, and this one would appear to be no different. Look on completed auctions at Gunbroker and/or figure 2/3 of retail pricing, and post this in the appropriate Equipment Exchange forum if you are eligible to do so – not here.

Thanks,
AC
