So after reading other threads I have decided to get a Surefire x300u. Mostly because it can be used for a rifle or a pistol. So when I get it, it will be shared between a Glock 19 and an AR. Right now the AR already has a Surefire EL2d in a VTAC mount on it. I hope to make the x300u dedicated (either to the AR or the G19) and the EL2d as my handheld. So to which should I dedicate the x300u and what should I buy next.
If its gotta be one, mount the light to the gun that will see the most low light usage. However, if you have the coin, the Furys are doing well as long gun lights, and the X300u will do fine on a handgun.
I’m a bit leery of dual mode lights as weapon lights, though, unless the settings are “High” and “Really High”. Surefire does have single output Furys, and Bravo Company carries the EAG version; single output, plus a momentary/clicky switch.

Thanks for the replies. I assume you guys are suggesting to keep the X300u on the G19 and buy a EAG Fury for the AR. To be honest I kind of had my list down to the both of those. I just was not sure if I should buy another X300u for the rifle or just go with the Fury.
I don’t think you could go wrong with either one. You can run the X300u on an AR, no problem. At 12:00, it is pretty ergonomic and ambidextrous. But, a Fury and a decent mount will cost you a bit less.
