Hey guys, I’m sorry, I’m not all up on the latest & greatest kydex technology like some of you are. I’m looking at grabbing a lightly used Secret City Weaponeers Y-12 holster for my M&P 9/X300. The holster does not come with any belt loops so I need to get some. Until now I’ve been carrying the pistol IWB in a Comp-Tac Minotaur and have had no issues. However, I like being able to have a light on the gun. I may simply remove the light from the gun for IWB carry and continue to use the Comp-Tac, but wanted to see what my options are.
The primary use of the SCW Y-12 will be when pulling shifts @ the LGS and also when hunting or doing other outdoor activities where the IWB concealment is not a priority.
So, is there a set of belt loops I can purchase that will allow me to change between IWB and OWB carry with the SCW Y-12 without changing anything hardware-wise?
You should be able to get the materials to make some belt loops yourself quite easily. You might be able to get some that fit or can be made to fit from another holster company. You will not get any from Tony. He’s owed me a set since 2011. :mad:
If you happen to get it, you’ll be very pleased with it though. Mine is very comfortable and secure.
