Scope Mount

I am having trouble deciding between two 30MM scope mounts for my MTAC 1-4x scope. I have narrowed the search down to the LT 104 QD mount or the ADM Recon. I have seen excellent reviews on both products and they are in the same price range and appear to be the same quality. For those that have used one or both of these mounts what are the pros or cons of one mount over the other.

Both are good. I would also consider Bobro.

of these two brands, I would go with the ADM simply because their levers have greater surface area contact.

+1 on the ADM.

I have the MTAC mounted in an ADM Recon. I also have a Bobro which is a little heavier and I think the ADM works better for this light scope.

if you’re wanting to save a little $$$ I think the ADM Scout mount would work as well. the MTAC is not very heavy…

I have Viper PST mounted in ADM (Scout) and I’m very happy with this mount. Solid, returns to zero and I do not need tools to adjust it for different rails (unlike LaRue).

Bobro is great, self adjusting, but lever mechanism is just to bulky and puts lever to far away from receiver for me.

Anyway, all 3 are quality products, that works as advertised and it goes down to personal preferences.

Quick question out of curiosity…besides the additional 1" of forward throw between the ADM Recon versus the Recon X, is there any advantages/disadvantages in the mounts? By that I mean, are there structural differences or issues that might crop up by going with the Recon X versus the Recon?

Stick with the one that gives you the best/proper eye relief
