I am looking for recommendations on a one piece scope mount to use on my m4a1 clone. The rifle has a fixed front sight and a Matech flip up rear sight. Specifically I am in need of a mount that’s high enough for the rear of the scope to clear the folded Matech rear sight. Would the Leupold Mark 2 integral mounting system have the necessary clearance? I am planning on using a Leupold Mark AR MOD 1 1.5-4x20mm scope on this rifle. Ideally the scope mount would be height enough that the front sight does not interfere with the sight picture at low magnifications.
If anyone has suggestions for a better variable magnification, non battery illuminated scope for a carbine like this please let me know.
