i just bought a colt m4 .223…also new to the art of gunmanship …so cut me some slack folks…i wanted your input on a specific application…on the top pitanany rail where the scope goes i installed a tri riser i wanted to put a scope on the top vertical and a red dot on the side… ,of course the red dot would be setting horizontal and a little lower of the scope, just wondering has anyone done this setup …scope for long range and red dot for fast aiming short range

Get rid of the tri-rail riser and get a real scope mount with an offset red dot.

I use the Larue off set mount on my set ups.
