So I’ve decided to dabble into the world of SBR’s, however the whole concept is new to me. any advice/suggestions from MN residents with SBR’s would be great.
I just got my Form 1 back for an SBR. There’s really nothing more difficult in MN than any other state. Do some research on this site and you will find all the info you need. You’ll have to request the necessary forms from the ATF but you can do it online.
I went with the Individual route as the Chief of Police in my area had no issues with signing my forms. Got my passport photos from Sam’s Club ($5), prints taken by the PD, and I had Orion Arms do the engraving on my lower as they’re in Lino Lakes. Filled out the forms and sent everything in to the ATF.
There is a range and Gun store in North Branch that had a bunch of factory SBR’s on the shelf.
Maybe it is easier to buy one from a store?
Would require a Form 4 instead of a Form 1, and probably cost a little bit more.
