SBR FSB question

For the last few years I’ve been running a YHM folding FSB/gas block combo on my entry rifle. It’s a 10.5" build. I was running an Eotech 512 and with it, the field of view for me was better with the fold down FSB than with the original. But I was always concerned about the FSB with set screws moving. It never di, but still was a possibility. Now I’m running an Aimpoint in a Wilcox mount. Part of me says go back to the original, pinned FSB, and just get used to looking through the FSB. Part says I didn’t like it before, I won’t like it again.
What is the opinion of the guys that use this set up?
Thanks,
Dave

I would install the factory FSB or shave the FSB to fit under a good rail and install that over the rail and use a rail mounted flip up front sight.

This is the pictorial of what GotM4 just said…I did it on a carbine length gas system on my 76239 build for a 12" Troy rail.

One thing to note: cut the sling swivel almost completely off otherwise it won’t likely fit inside a rail you choose short of a round tube type

I think I see a Tactical Nike on the left on the bottom of the pic. :stuck_out_tongue:

Actually that might be Tactical Asics…

Tactical Brooks! Truly the best Benjamin I’ve spent on running shoes.
