SBR Buffer Question

I’ve been running a 9mm buffer in my 10.5 LMT and it runs 95% of the time. The only issue that I’ve had was a few Double-Feeds with Wolf 55 Gr ammo. That issue is usually resolved when I mount my suppressor on it so obviously it is due to the ammo being underpowered and lacking adequate backpressure.

Now my question is are any of you running a 9mm buffer OR the standard CAR buffer with your 10.5" SBR’s?

I understand that there are others out there like the H2 / H3, but my question is specific towards the 9mm / standard CAR buffer.

Thanks!

For a buffer on a factory 10.5" LMT I would recommend a CAR (3.0oz) buffer or at the heaviest a H buffer (3.8oz). If the gas port is larger than factory LMT you can go heavier.

I’m running a standard CAR buffer in my LMT 10.5".

Like gotM4 said, you should be running an H at the heaviest, you are lucky to get a LMT 10.5 to run with a 9mm buffer and wolf ammo! I would run a H in it unsuppressed and the 9mm suppressed if it works.

I’ve been using a Colt 9mm buffer in my LMT 10.5 since I got it without any problems at all.

I just did an EAG class last month where most of the ammo I used was Wolf. The only problems I had were lube related, not ammo or buffer related.

Wow, I don’t remember where I read that I should have used a 9mm buffer on my 10.5.

I’ll swap it out for the standard buffer and see if the Wolf will work now.

I run an H buffer and FA carrier in my LMT 10.5 and the Wolf runs fine, and so does all the other ammo I have run.
