While walking around Sportsmans Warehouse today I saw this gentleman. Barrel of his personal DPMS rifle pointed down and resting on his foot, walking around the store while holding the butt stock like a cane. Even adding a little limp to his step while he carried his AR in this way. To top it off you can’t see it in the photo but he had a nylon leg rig empty.
I was talking to to a clerk when I saw him, I stopped the conversation and pointed him out to the clerk and a gentleman standing with us. I asked them if they would ever do something that stupid? To which they both laughed. I didn’t think it was that funny as the rifle had a mag in, I had no idea if it was loaded or not, but I could help but get pissed at how unsafe this was, loaded or not. I was just waiting to see his toe detached from his foot in aisle three from a “accidental” discharge (negligent discharge I mean).
Exactly, He is not on the range I run so as long as he is only pointing it at himself the rest of the world is safe from his stupidity. I have no problems if people want to chlorinate their own gene pool as long as I don’t have to do the paperwork for it.
I don’t get too upset until a muzzle is pointed toward me. I certainly know better than to be so careless but until someones poor decisions affect me directly, I keep to myself.
