Savage Model 11 vs 16FCSS?

I’m looking for a rifle in 6.5 caliber, kind of liking the Savage rifles with Accutrigger. The Model 11 is 6.5 Creedmoor and the 16FCSS is 260 Remington. Other than chambering, the specs on both look identical except the 11 is about $100 cheaper and comes with a low end scope. From what I’ve read about the 2 cartridges, performance is for all practical purposes the same. Does anyone have experience with these rifles? Any reason besides cost to favor one over the other? Is Savage a good (accurate) choice? What other rifles in 6.5 and similar price point would you recommend?

Thanks,
Ken

I am very pleased with the Savage Accutrigger rifles I have. They are all in .308 and different models so I can’t speak to that for you. I can tell you that - for the money - they are accurate, rugged and reliable. They are not objects of beauty like some other brands and have limited upgrade options, but again - for the $$$ I am very pleased. Put the money you save into good glass and lots of ammo to practice with.
