SAR pistols at Palmetto for 180 bucks

I am not in a market for a 9mm at all - other pressing things in line to spend money on. But I enjoy looking at prices - kind of like going through the Sears XMAS Wishbook back in the day.

That said, I was on the PSA website last night for grins, and I saw that they have three different SAR pistols at 199.99, which is getting pretty dang cheap. I know nothing about this brand - I believe they are Turkish. I thought I would mention it here - I know some of the members are willing to try out new things if the prices are attractive. At 200 bucks these might be a good range toy, a truck gun, or a training tool for new shooters.

SAR USA SAR9 4.4" 9mm 17rd O.R. Pistol, Black/SS - SAR9RDST | Palmetto State Armory

There is also a model at 179.99.

SAR USA METE 9mm 17rd 4.4" Pistol, Black No Safety - SAR9METENSBL | Palmetto State Armory

I mean, we are approaching HiPoint prices here.

Does anybody have any experience with the SAR pistols?

My brother has a SAR9. It has been flawless so far. I sent him that link because he has an older non optic ready model. This is an absolute bargain. I have shot it and have no complaints. It’s like an HK VP9 and a Glock had a baby.

This is not a fluke and one of the rare cases of getting WAY more than what you (are used to ) pay for.

I own several - My current edc is the subcompact model. Reliable and accurate, every bit as any of my others (HK, M&P) at a MUCH lower price. What makes it even more interesting is all the magazines fit across all (sub) models (full, compact sub-compact etc) regardless of capacity. This should be an industry standard no?

That’s crazy cheap. I shoot 40 cal, but load a lot of 9mm for Pappabear. I’d buy one of these but I just pieced an AIM Surplus slide and barrel together for my Timberwolf frame for shooting odds and ends/sketchy 9mm rounds.
