Saiga conversion?

Anybody selling these? I have read that AK-USA and Tromix are the top guys here, but I believe Tromix isn’t taking orders anytime soon due to a backlog…

Also, anything wrong with leaving the forearm furniture from the Saiga and just getting the other conversion items done? The Saiga forearm piece looks more comfortable anyway, even if not visually accurate…

Lots leave the original forearm on, some even vent them. Im in the process of figuring out what im going to do with my stock Saiga-12:p

I bought one a couple of months ago and am looking to convert mine as well. Originally I was looking at Tromix, but they are pretty busy these days.

I will be watching, to see what you do.

Will at Red Jacket does a lot of Saiga conversions. I had mine converted by Chris Butler at AK-USA. He did an awesome job but be ready for a pretty big price tag at the end.

Spooky

At this point I’m waiting to hear back from AK-USA & Red Jacket. We’ll see what they say.

Have you considered Krebs? I have not found anything bad about them on the internet. I am thinking about buying one of their rifles in a few weeks.

Krebs no longer does custom work, but you can buy converted Saiga from them already built.

Derek at AZEX does great work on not only AK’s but is a Maestro with Saiga’s. Im taking mine there once I gigure out what im doing with it. I was there last week and was looking at some of his recent conversions and I was drolling all over the place.

With the kits that Dinzag sells a 223 or 7.62 ak conversion is a snap. The 223 ones no not even need a feedramp if you go with the USA made mags that cost about $40.

I live near AZEX - really need to visit his shop as I hear he does good work. Thinking about an AK of his and maybe having him convert a 7.62 Saiga eventually…
