The big brown truck of awesome just dropped off my new upper, I opened the box and began to inspect the upper, checking things like if the barrel and rail were tight.
Next I pulled the charging handle to the rear and much to my surprise a round of ammo popped out of the chamber, not a fired round, but a live one, with no dents in the primer.
PSA sent me a live round chambered and ready to go.
I tried to call them but got a machine, e-mail is sent out to them.

What I want to know is was it decent ammo? Did they at least screw up and sent you something that would be worth shooting? 
That is screwed up though, major mental malfunction by someone. Unless they are running a Willy Wonka award, fine the live shell, get a free gun.

on account of their decent prices and what appears to be spec parts, i’ve been tempted to try their uppers. but after reading stories about misaligned feed ramps, live rounds in chambers, etc… i don’t think i would buy one sight unseen. i wonder if i could just make the hour journey down to columbia and buy one after going through several and picking the one i want specifically.
oh… and praise God you had the gumption to check the chamber first. honestly, this could have killed someone.

In an another light, PSA has responded both proactively and thoroughly when any issues arise; I commend them for that. Great CS is in short supply these days so it’s nice to see. Close one OP!
Just got off the phone with PSA Upper was shipped unfinished/not done with QC, they are shipping out a new upper today. Depending on how they or if they choose to compensate will determine if I buy from them/reccommend them to someone else.

What’s this, a public call for extortion? They admitted the FU and are fixing it at no cost to you. Blackmailing them is pretty slimy.

This is a premeditated, intentional violation of a primary rule governing the behavior we expect of our membership; rules that they agree to adhere to upon registration.
