Im looking to replace my current 6378 holster with the new 7TS for my Glock 19/TLR-1s combo. (Im specifically getting the G-17/light holster since its more versatile) http://www.holsterops.com/7ts-belt-clip?search_string=7ts However I cant decide between the standard or cutdown version. http://www.holsterops.com/cutdown-7ts-paddle-light. The holster will primarily be mounted on my warbelt via MLS fork so it wont be used for concealment (I use my RCS holsters for that). Any advantages with the cutdown version besides possibly making the drawstroke easier/faster? Or better to save the $11 and go with standard? Anyone here have experience with both holsters? I appreciate any advice, thank you.
Looking at the product description for the cut down, I’d say go with the regular version if it’s a war belt only holster. The added benefit, if you believe it, is for a concealment role.
Plus, I like the extra coverage for the rear sight.
Save you’re money.
I’d vote regular for the extra coverage.

I have both for my M&Ps; they’re great holsters. I use the full size with a UBL on a HSGI Sure Grip battle belt and the cut down with a paddle.
The cutdown definitely makes it easier to clear the holster with a full-size pistol. I have found it awkward to draw a full size pistol from the full size holster on a paddle mount… it’s too high for me. I’d recommend the mid-rise UBL and the full size holster if your war belt allows access to the inner belt. The G19 is a little smaller than the M&P FS and my battle belt tends to ride a little high, so your millage may vary.

I have a pair of the regular ones and don’t see any need for a cut down version for myself.
No pics necessary but thank you though. I had the UBL on my other ALS holster for my MC Operator w/X200 and was not very stable during the draw and reholstering. Not a fan of any straps around my legs after one patrol in AFG with one so no UBL mod for me either. I find the MLS fork and MLS 17 reciever plate on my warbelt works best for me.
Thank you all for the help. Looks like the standard version is the way to go, especially with having the extra material to protect the rear sight and the lower cost.
