I’m looking for input regarding the Sabre Green chemical agent spray that has Wasabbi Horseradish as the main component. Has anyone been sprayed with it or know someone who has. Is it as effective as OC or OC/CS? I’m a Sabre OC Aerosol Instructor for a State Correctional Agency who has had the question posed to him that if a commissioned officer is deathly allergic to peppers, could he as well as his ride along partner both be issued Sabre Green in their defense without the detrimental effect on this officer should it have to be used? Any input, particular from law enforcement officers or chemical agent instructors would be appreciated.
I do understand that it is a Level I spray vs. the Level III Sabre Red that they normally carry so it is not as hot and decontaminates quicker. I’m just wondering if it is worth issuing it to just the two officers.
