Sabre Defence barrels

Let’s try another manufacturer.

Sabre Defence 16", mid-length, 1/7 from Talon Arms.

Has anyone used one of these barrels?

Is this a good quality piece?

I recently purchased one of these from Talon with a DD lite 9" installed on it.

It it fit & finish is good and it runs great. Can’t tell you anything about true accuracy potential as all I’ve run though it is some 55 grain Olympic ammo.

I have a few boxes of Hornady 75gr TAP that I intend to test at my next range outing.

From what I have seen, the SD barrels are excellent. They use Military grade steel, M4 barrel extensions and can be had in 1/7 twist.

I will be stocking their barrels, uppers and complete weapons in the very near future.

I have a Sabre 18" S/S fluted in 1/8 twist and have been nothing but impressed with accuracy, quality of bore and ease of cleaning.

Here is a recent thread I started about MK262 ammo with a group from this SD barrel…

Grant…do you have any idea on when you are going to start selling at least the uppers?

Have an order in with them now! I am also planning on offering some “G&R Custom” models on their complete weapons (like FF rails, Magpul/VLTOR stocks, upgraded buffers and springs).

Sabre makes excellent barrels! I have on of the first 16", 1-7 twist, midlength barrels they made for Talon Arms and it’s worked great so far.

I have shot Wolf:eek: 55 and 62 gr, XM193, Q3131a and XM855 through it without issue. Accuracy with Cabela’s MK262 2nd’s and Black Hills Blue Box 77gr Match was about 1 MOA-1.25 MOA. It’s not SPR accurate but it shoots damn well for a chrome lined barrel!

Read up that they make .50M2, M60D, also M16 barrels, for the U.S. Govn’t . originally based in England. they also make carbine’s for europe military.

DT!
