Does anyone if there are any differences between the 9L and 9L Pro Series besides a green fiber optic front sight on the Pro? I saw them at a local shop the other day. The 9L was $589.00 and the Pro was $639.00.
Picked up a Pro Series yesterday.

The Pro has a different sear which is essentially a $90 trigger job. Shortened reset and lower trigger pull, it’s a very good trigger right out of the box.
The Pro also has a different rear sight in addition to the fiber front.
Pricing for the 9L in my local shop was 560. Buds has the 9Pro for 599.
is smith releasing a “pro” that isnt an “L”?
would be nice to be able to get the regular sized M&P with the “pro” trigger…
The Pro’s slide is also a slightly different contour than the L, especially near the front. The front of the Pro looks (to me) more like a BHP while the L looks like a Ruger P-series.
At the moment there is no gun being produced with the PC sear except the Pro, which is only available as a 5" gun.
Todd,
Is the PC sear available as a separate part and is it a drop-in part or does it require fitting?
Thanks for your help on this.

WD – Smith will only sell sears to qualified gunsmiths (which I think they define as “certified armorers”). I do not know whether the PC sear is on the list of things they can buy; it may be a factory-install only item.
It’s a drop in part.
Thanks.

Awesome pistol.
So any pictures of the M&P9L?
THAT’s what I want.
That being said, how much can be done to a “regular” M&P trigger? I’ve only ever fired a rental M&P40 and I loved it (and I HATE .40).
If you ever discover that they do offer that particular part, please let us know. I’d love to buy a few of them and put them in my M&Ps.
JW777 … shall do. I was at the range this evening and was again reminded just how much I like the PC sear/MA spring setup. The pull is right at six pounds, very smooth, and a clean rolling break with great reset.
If I send my M&P to the performance center for a trigger job, is this the sear that will be used?
Has anyone had the performance center do a trigger job, and if so how did it compare to say one done by Bowie tactical?
Has there been any talk of a 45 Pro ?
Or maybe an extended slide-lock like on a G34…
