This was from an election year S&W OR (“optics ready” :rolleyes:) M&P 15. As many of you can recall it was a bitch trying to find AR/M4s of any configuration during mid/late 2008. I bought this one as a complete carbine and rather quickly replaced the upper once the market shook out in early 2009. Has been sitting idle in the safe, looking to fund another project.
It has very few rounds through it (I dont know how many, but my best guess is less than 100). Since it was an “Optics Ready” it had a low profile gasblock. The gas block was replaced when the 9" YHM free float rail was added.
The BCG went to the current upper, so this one will go without one. This is all original S&W except for the rail and gas block.
In excellent condition, has a small Larue rail bite on the upper. Cosmetic only.
