S.E.R.T System / MM, C3 (Compact Carbine Case)

Anyone have an input on the C3?
I found the link in a post over on WEVO.

A user was lamenting the irony of the “discreet case”. The same thing had occurred to me. If my wife can tell it’s a gun bag, it ain’t discreet.
I don’t mind the idea of transporting my carbine broken down if the bag doesn’t look like a rifle case.

Anyone know of other rifle bags that fit this description/function?

They plan to be in stock?
I had one on pre-order for nearly a year and after countless phone calls/emails I got finally got my money back. I would also like to know if anyone has one, I am still more than a little hesitant to send funds for one.

Do these guys really have that sorta reputation?

\Same thing here

I wish they’d sell that design to someone who could actually get them to market…

That would be handy for some of my purposes.

My understanding is that MLE Shooting Sports is becoming the distributor for i-Shot products this year, and that the supply problem should be alleviated somewhat by a new production facility in Virginia.

I bought one of these off a fellow on another forum. I have been highly impressed with it.

I’ve been living on the road and out of hotels for two years now and I’ve found out that most discrete rifle cases… aren’t. This one is.

I’ve had mine about 6 months now and have been impressed enough I plan to get a second. I just wish they came in ‘un-tacticool’ colors.

the main problem was getting them made here in the U.S.
seems nuts, but it really has taken i-shot this long to find a domestic maker that would be able to make them. eagle made the first run but was too busy to meet projected dates, so i-shot looked elsewhere.
it’d have been a lot quicker if i-shot went offshore to produce them, but people wanted them made here.

federale - i hear you, but i decided to stick it out with i-shot instead of licensing the design to someone else. they’re good guys but have had some obstacles over the past year.

sorry that some of you have had a frustrating time ordering these bags - it’s been just as frustrating for me as the designer, and i-shot as the producer, believe me, especially with all the interest and demand for it that’s been shown from various agencies and folk. my apologies to all.

as far as ‘untacticool’ colours, i agree. but i-shot has to go with the colours that were most in demand for - in other words, they picked the top two or three due to the contract sewers having minimum quantities to meet etc.

I have to say that this makes me happy.

Well, hopefully you will find a way to get these to the consumer. I suppose that since their website never updates, emails go unanswered and its been literally years since anyone seems to have managed to get a new one that they seem to be vaporwear. Let’s hope that changes because it does seem like a good design and I can think of lots of people who probably would be interested.

Anyone know if these cases are currently being manufactured?

Thanks,
Rich

yes, they are.

MM thanks for the reply. I don’t see the C3 on I-shot’s webpage. Is another company retailing these?

Thanks,
Rich

Well how about the original ISHOT SERT Systems cases?
Are they still going to be available? If so, then when?
I cannot recall the exact model name, but it was the original ISHOT SERT System case that was released long before the C3 ever was.
Anyone know??

I tried to order one a couple years ago after being put on waiting list. Talked to them on the phone, fax’d my info and CC info. Thought everything was good to go.

Two weeks later and no case. Called back and they either sold it to someone else or never had it (never did find out). Kind of disappointed as I was looking forward to it. Maybe things will smooth out soon.

i just called i-shot to see what was up. they take items off the website until they have them in stock, then put them up again. ETA on the C3 cases are about 3-4 weeks, in black, coyote brown and multicam.

razorhunter - the i-shot/sert systems TCC (tactical carbine cases) are on their website: http://www.ishot-inc.com/store/index.php?route=product/category&path=3

yut - that was the time period where the cases were not being delivered when promised by eagle. i-shot had a pre-order list, and took deposits based on the delivery date. when the promised delivery date slipped out months, and a whole batch in one colour had to be returned due to incorrect sewing, that’s what caused the issues and i-shot to look elsewhere for domestic production.
