A couple of weeks ago a friend of mine and myself joined RWI Tactical for their Tactical Carbine I class in New Haven, KY. They offer this course and various other courses throughout the year but this was actually a private class that we scheduled. Leading up to the class, communication was very smooth and professional. We actually arrived to the range a little early and the instructor was already there with everything set up.
First, we had a little bit of classroom instruction; shooting basics, gear selection, etc. Once on the range, we went over a variety of basic drills. We went over things like zeroing our rifles, engaging multiple targets, mag changes, shooting on the move, etc.
All in all, it was a very well put together class and the instructor was very professional. He was very knowledgeable and had a legitimate military background. As stated, we took the Tactical Carbine I course but they offer a variety of classes for all skills levels. I’d definitely recommend checking out some of their classes. Their site is:
