This is one of the most humbling stories i’ve read in a while. As the article states over 4 million soldiers from WWII are still MIA.

Those years killed people on the battlefield AND at the hands of their own government under Stalin. Communism and its ugly cousin socialism put a lot of people to death by all kinds of means, all of them brutal. That’s gotta be a nasty job because there’s so many places to look and so many different culpable parties.
