What browser/OS are you guys using? I’ve never seen these problems, or the others with ads spamming the forums. I’ve enabled the various ad blockers and privacy options for Safari, iOS and Chrome. I may have downloaded some extensions for those, so if it helps, I will check and post what my browser options are. The only Windows machine in my house is my crappy work laptop, which I don’t use for personal interests.
I’m using a Galaxy S5, my only source for the all mighty Internet. I have all the factory blockers (1) turned on. I usually get redirect warnings but was getting forced to the ads.
I haven’t been redirected since I posted this thread though so who knows.
ETA:
Docsherm and I are in the same general area and both on phones so maybe the issue is our possible locations.
The only logical explanation is the aliens from millions of light years away ,that are keeping us safe, have piggy backed local celly towers and are prohibiting me from reading on M4C about them keeping me safe. Sly tricksters.
Same here. I am using Chrome on an Android with antivirus/ Internet protection software. Pop up blockers are on. Clicking on this thread I got redirected to another site.
But the whole alian thing does sound like it is the most probable answer… :jester:
So far, two reports of Chrome/Android devices getting this issue, correct? How about the rest of you guys? Would getting data points like this help site admin or in house IT gurus find an answer? I’m OSX/iOS Safari with zero issues.
Hmmmm. I suspect it’s something with Apple/IOS. I have tried the site without issue on the following operating systems and browsers:
Windows 7 Enterprise
Windows 8.1 Pro
Windows 10 Enterprise
CentOS - forgot the version
Fedora 21
FreeBSD 10.2
Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard
Internet Explorer 10
MS Edge browser
Firefox 44
I don’t have Apple or Chrome, but it worked on everything else.
I think it may be a combo if you folks OS/browser. Pretty weird, all of mine worked.
