RTF 2 how to soften grip finish

Hilarious. Thanks

Put some plastidip on the grip

Sandpaper from Home Depot or Lowes. I had the same issue with clothing and skin for my G17 RTF2.

Glocks are having slide issues not anything related to the frame unless it is an “E” serial number. The RTF frame is in high demand. Offer a frame trade with someone who has a third gen 19 and keep your slide.

Trade it, please. I just picked up a RTF2 G19 and don’t understand why RTF2 isn’t the texture on ALL Glocks.

Put it on the exchange board for WTT for G19 Gen3 standard texture.

I had two rough texture G19s and hit them both with fine sandpaper. I would recommend doing a little at a time and wearing it until you get it where you want it.

Black hockey tape.

Too bad OP is in NY, I would gladly trade for that RTF2.

Don’t ruin it!

That’s because you don’t carry it concealed for 12 hours daily. If you did your shirts undershirts and jacket linings would be shredded like mine.

I wouldn’t be so quick to assume that - many people don’t have an issue with the rtf frame causing problems with clothing. My carry pistol is an rtf G17 carried AIWB all year round, either against my skin in the summer or an undershirt in the winter. I have not noticed the issues you are describing, nor do I find it uncomfortable.

If it doesn’t work for you then you should certainly do whatever is necessary to adjust it to your liking. In this case, because the rtf frames are an endangered species, combined with the fact that they carry a premium in resale value, some people (myself included) were suggesting that you could consider selling it (used) and then purchasing another pistol (new) for the same price or even cheaper. That said, it’s your pistol, so if you want to sand down the texture, by all means drive on.
