Shit guns? I have had a fe RRA and IMHO, they were some of the best I ever had. A 24" SS BB was scary accurate and I always noticed that because the air gauged their barrels, they were better than most anyone’s I ever cleaned/shot.
They thought outside the box and solved the 7.62 x 39 feed issues. Give 'em some credit for doing what no one else could.
i dont want to start a rra hater thread, that horse has been beat to death. but while rra’s are pretty accurate, they fall to pieces in high round classes and they notorious for using shity materials and manufacturing processes.
KAC tried the same thing a couple years ago, my feelings are if KAC couldnt make it fly, how the hell can we expect rra to do it?
My money is on RRA, any takers?

Not saying it’s not true, but I have never heard it myself.
Seems like many places have bias. Across the street st ARF, RRA is not considered crap.
Honestly, I’d buy one if not for three 6.8 and a 300 BLK.

Does anyone know if the actual gun design works? (Note that the old Colt 7.62x39 did not work. The change in the mag from angled to straight caused jams.)
there are multiple companies that offer an AK-type lower that uses compatible steel AK-47 mags, with an AR style upper…
the MGI Hydra is one off hand, then there’s the AR-47…

I’d look elsewhere before I went with RRA… not saying the MGI is any better… but I’d look at getting an AR-47 type lower and then probably run a PWS upper…
Short answer, yes. It works as well as the rest of their rifles work.

What was the deal on yours? First rifle I bought, the lower was a touch out of spec, many mags wouldn’t seat properly, some would though. Not a big deal, make a million widgets, one bad one is bound to happen. They replaced it PDQ and every RRA upper I had never had a single issue and all delivered fantastic accuracy.
Same here. Unstaked Gas key came loose under the 500 round mark, my dad’s 2 stage trigger lost a stage under 1k, both rifles had out of spec chambers.
Needless to say not rifles to trust your life with.
Rock River Arms and their reputation for producing mediocre weapons is well known. Let’s relax a little on the emotions and Jim Jones like enthusiasm.
It had an out-of-spec chamber. I had multiple stuck casings with a variety of ammuntion every range trip… actually I think I made it through one range trip with no issues.
Thank you for the collective guidance. I think I will stick to my policy of only owning commie guns in commie calibers, because I do not want another frustrating gun-owning experience.
