Hello guys! While surfing this morning, i found out that RRA had just rolled out a 40cal carbine system, as well as an upper. has anyone tried this? is it any good? after all, the only other 40 around is an Oly.:rolleyes:
I know nothing about them. But you have just peaked my interest.
The local IDPA club only allows pistol caliber carbines in their matches. So I am excited to hear what others have to say about these.

wish it could be that easy here, but the local distributor of RRA is in hot water with the local cops and the Dept. of Def. seems like one of the M4s he was supposed to have in his warehouse ended up in the hands of a known felon wanted for 2 murders. the guy ended up using in on two federal agents sent to arrest him.
now, all RRA importation is on hold! but this product shows lots of promise
Quick question. Wouldn’t the lowers need some kind of .40 S&W hammer and a .40 buffer or something? Just like the 9mm.

I’ve been looking at these ever since SHOT show. I would like to get one of the uppers to pair with you my Lone Wolf R&D 9G lower. Then I could use Glock 22 mags.
I wonder what kind of “thump” you would get from the .40 S&W cartridge out of a 16" barrel?!
Just completed my Oly 40SW AR-15 pistol.
And they will have 40SW magazines in two months. 9mm mags now for sale.
Olympic Arms is a different company now from 10 years ago. I’ve been able to by a 10mm rifle, 40SW AR-15 pistol and the parts I need to complete my 45 ACP upper.

I have heard that these lowers are going to be a deticated setup (not unlike their deticated 9mm lower) does anyone know?
I would rather have it to where I can pull the block out.
I run a Colt 9MM lower w/ removable block (which was a proto-type of the first removable ones), its SBRed, so I like having the option to drop another upper on it and run it!

Dedicated just locks you down.
Rather have a standard lower with a removeable block so I can always take it from pistol caliber to 556 with the removal of the mag block and a BCG/barrel swap.
I am pretty interested in a “AR40”, like posted above I wonder what type of recoil would come from the snappy .40cal. I have a AR9 and I swear the recoil isn’t really noticable with just a light pop.
That’s why I like my 9G, all I have to do is switch top ends, use the corresponding Glock magazine----and I’m shooting either 9mm, .40 S&W or .357 SIG (not available yet)!
