I just saw a rossi .357/.38sp levergun for sale used at a local shop. I couldnt help but think that a lever-action suppressed .38sp would be the bee’s knees.
Are the Rossi guns worth a darn? Is the twist rate ok for shooting 158 gr bullets? What should I know, and what should I be looking for?
This is just a fleeting thought, so if it is not a good idea I will move on to another lol.
I had one and it was a fine shooter except for the 180 grain loads. Didn’t shoot those well at all. But it was a fine little carbine. Personally, I thought the biggest drawback was the very limited options for changing out the sights. Mine was pre-safety. A short Marlin 1894 would be more sight versatile, and still pretty small.
I got to play with a suppressed Marlin and was very impressed.
