So it’s time again to do the thing I love, build AR’s.
The problem is that this time I have decided to use Rock River Arms for my lower. The word I get from all my dealers around here is that it is 16 weeks to a year to get my hands on a new stripped lower.
My question to you all is, does anyone know a better/ faster was to get a RRA Lower then a year? I mean I can be persistant and determined, but a year is a long time to wait.
Does it have to be RRA? If not, there are stripped lowers of all kinds that would be ready to purchase today. I don’t see the point in waiting that long, check out www.gandrtactical.com --Grant beat me to it!–
The buyer must arrange for the item to be shipped to a FFL holder in his area. Buyer must fax a signed, current copy of the FFL holder’s license before item may be shipped.

Isn’t RRA parts just overpriced rebranded CMT/Stag? Personally I would just find other lower. How about a Stag? If you don’t like the Buck head, how about an Anvil arms lower? There are plenty of options at all price points.
I have read on other forums that RRA is only an assembler of AR rifles, they do not make any parts. Probably have several sources for parts. That goes for most manufactures such as Bushmaster, Armalite, CMMG and even Colt. Unlike Bushmaster, COLT or Armalite they do not believe do any finishing work on the parts. Still they make a good rifle but it is not better than a Stag or the extra money.
